Why we exist

Boreholes, piezometers, and samples provide valuable direct evidence at specific locations, but a narrow seepage pathway can pass between them. Spatial geophysical coverage helps teams decide where additional investigation or remediation should focus.

Willowstick was built on a controlled-source electromagnetic premise: inject a low-power current through the area of interest, measure the resulting magnetic field on a surface grid, and model the electrical-current distribution. Interpreted with hydrogeology and site data, the response can delineate preferential conductive connections associated with groundwater or seepage.

Patented, published, and field deployed

Willowstick’s MM-ECD technology is covered by two U.S. patents and documented in peer-reviewed case studies and technical publications. The method has been deployed for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, public agencies, mining companies, and engineering firms across more than 1,000 projects worldwide.
