Sunrise Sells Controlling Interest In AquaTrack Division

FILLMORE and DRAPER, UT – July 15, 2004– The AquaTrack division of Sunrise Engineering is now an independent company known as Willowstick Technologies. Amp Capital Partners, a venture capital firm focused on renewable energy and natural resource projects, acquired a controlling interest in this new company from Sunrise Engineering in June 2004.

Willowstick Technologies offers high resolution groundwater mapping solutions using its proprietary, magnetic-based technology, known as AquaTrack™, for clients in mining, environmental remediation, geothermal exploration, and other industries. Willowstick has successfully delineated aquifers, pollution plumes, water leaking through dams and out of reservoirs, the sources and flow paths of groundwater leaking into mines, and in other environments at depths in excess of 5,000 feet.

Brett Pinegar has joined Willowstick as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer and is working closely with Val Kofoed, P.E., who was a senior shareholder and a Principal Engineer at Sunrise Engineering, and is now Willowstick’s President. “We see a bright future for Willowstick. Sunrise looks forward to working with Brett, Val and the rest of the team to offer groundwater mapping services to our clients as part of our offerings,” says Alden Robinson, CEO of Sunrise Engineering.
