Position — Director Business Development: Water and Wastewater Pipelines

Founded 2004, Willowstick Technologies can map, model, and predict, preferential pathways of groundwater and provide unprecedented insight into hydrogeologic conditions. The Willowstick Instrument for Leak Detection WILDTM is a product that uses the same technology to pinpoint the exact location and volume of water leaking through pipelines and tunnel.

Job Purpose
The purpose of this position (Business Development Directory: Water and Wastewater Pipelines) is to Introduce WILD to the tunnel / water and wastewater industry and develop relationship with key decision makers at municipalities and water utility districts. 

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain and keep updated sales pipeline including weekly activity reports
  • Identify potential client needs, budget, urgency and fit with Willowstick
  • Write and deliver proposals
  • Manage client needs on a timely basis before, during and after project
  • Attend trade shows, conferences and seminars
  • Develop and manage partners 
  • Maintain and keep updated sales pipeline including weekly activity reports
  • Experience with building own pipeline from scratch as well as managing existing clients
  • Experience with environmental characterization and remediation solutions
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong verbal and writing skills
  • 50% travel including some international
  • Experience selling to large engineering consulting firms 
  • Strong communications and presentation skills, comfortable presenting to groups of 50+ people
  • Technical sales background (Hydrogeology, geophysics, physics)
  • Experience with hydroelectric plans, large sewers, treatment plants and large water intake systems
  • Experience with hydropower plants, water and wastewater transmission and distribution systems
  • Consulting background a plus
Minimum Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum Relevant Work Experience
  • 8-10 years’ business to business outside sales experience
  • 5-10 years’ experience in the tunnel / pipeline industry
  • Proven sales track record
